RULE OF LIFE
FOR MEMBERS OF THE
CONFRATERNITY
OF THE PASSION
St. Paul of the Cross was filled with a deep personal devotion to the Passion.
He realized the appeal of the Crucified and the call to a life of prayer,
penance, solitude and zeal. His own life was entirely dedicated to the
Passion. It was inspired by the spirit of prayer and penance,
solitude and zeal. This same spirit St. Paul bequeathed to his
religious and followers. It is the distinctive spirit of the Passionist Family;
It is the distinctive spirit of the Confraternity.
The "Rule of Life" intends to show you how to apply this fourfold spirit
of the Confraternity to your daily life. It offers you a practical way of
bringing the Passion into your own life, of fostering a personal devotion to the
Sufferings of Christ.
This "Rule of Life" is adapted from the Holy Rules and
Regulations which St. Paul of the Cross left to his Congregation. Although it
does not bind under pain of sin, yet all the members of the Confraternity are
urged to follow it to the best of their ability, in order to profit the more by
their membership in the Confraternity. Click on "Rule of
Life Guide" at top of page.
